Job Title: Export Shipping Clerk
Location: Ebbw Vale
Employment Type: Temporary Ongoing Work.
Working Hours: Days (6-2) and Afternoons Shifts (2-10)
Salary: £12.70
Candour Talent Recruitment are currently recruiting for Export Shipping Clerk to join our well-established client based in the Ebbw Vale area.
This role presents a unique chance to become a part of a dedicated team within a well-established Manufacturing company.
Key Responsibilities
Export Coordination:
- Prepare and review documentation required for both air and sea import and export processes, including invoices, packing lists, Dangerous Goods Notes, Customs documentation, and bills of lading/airway bills.
- Coordinate with internal / external personnel, customs agents, freight forwarders, hauliers, and customs brokers to ensure customs documentations are delivered within company KPI's.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
SAP System Management:
- Input and manage shipping data in SAP, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date records.
- Generate reports and analyse logistics data using SAP.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to address SAP-related issues.
- Support the team with Cycle Couniting processes, along with the required inventory adjustments.
Customer and Supplier Communication:
- Liaise with customers to confirm shipping details, schedules, and required documentation.
- Communicate with suppliers to monitor order progress and resolve any issues that arise.
Logistics Support:
- Track shipments and update relevant parties on delivery status.
- Handle discrepancies, such as delays or damaged goods, and provide timely resolutions.
- Maintain an organized filing system for all export-related records.
Experience:
- Proven experience in export logistics, preferably in a manufacturing and warehouse industry.
- Proficient use of SAP for logistics and supply chain management.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of export regulations, customs procedures, and INCOTERMS.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
