Working Hours: 08:30 am - 17:00

Candour Talent Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Laundry Technician to join our well-established client based in the Brynmawr area.
This role presents a unique chance to become a part of a dedicated team within a well-established company.
Job Description:
Responsible for the product cleaning and decontamination of all equipment returned/processed through the Service Centre in line with the Infection Control Policy.
Position will be subject to a DBS check.
Main Activities/Responsibilities:
- Cleaning a wide range of products returned to the Service Centre, including hospital beds, dynamic/static mattresses, and spare parts from medical equipment.
- Ensure the correct use of cleaning materials, including chemicals, cleaning procedures, and equipment, following the Infection Control Policy.
- Dispose of waste/clinical waste correctly in accordance with the Infection Control Policy.
- Check all equipment is clean and functioning correctly before use, reporting any faults immediately to the Supervisor/Service Centre Manager.
- Conduct weekly temperature checks on the washing machine as required.
- Wear appropriate PPE, including waterproof footwear, at all times while performing cleaning duties.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of decontamination and cleaning rooms, ensuring the integrity of clean and dirty areas.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and report any concerns to the Service Centre Supervisor/Manager.
- Accurately record all equipment movements by completing necessary paperwork.
- Monitor stock levels of cleaning products and PPE, reporting to the Service Centre Supervisor/Manager when replenishment is needed.
- Report all losses and/or damages immediately to the Service Centre Supervisor/Manager.
- Assist with the induction and in-house training of new and existing staff.
- Attend department meetings.
- Ensure confidentiality on all matters relating to service users/clients and information obtained during employment.
- Carry out any other duties as required by management that align with the company's objectives and goals.
Competencies:
- Ability to manage workload and adapt to sudden changes in service requirements.
- Adherence to departmental procedures and company policies.
- Full understanding of environmental and quality policies and objectives.
- Education and Experience:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High standards in personal appearance and hygiene.
- Experience in a similar role is desirable.
- Willingness to engage in training and personal development.
Competencies
- Manages assigned workload and has the ability to adapt own workload to sudden changes in service requirements.
- Follows departmental procedures and works within Company policy system.
- Full understanding of Company Environmental and Quality policy and objectives.
Education and Experience:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- The highest standards in personal appearance and hygiene
- Any work experience gained in a similar role
- Demonstrate willingness and enthusiasm at all times to engage in training and personal development
