Quality Engineer

Candour Talent Recruitment is excited to represent a leading engineering company in their search for a Quality Engineer based in Gwent. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional to join a collaborative team dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of product and process quality. The role is integral to maintaining and enhancing quality management systems, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems to meet company and customer standards.
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and tests to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate quality issues and non-conformances, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Work closely with the production and engineering teams to ensure quality processes are integrated into all stages of manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with customers and suppliers to address quality concerns and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including reports, certifications, and audit records.
  • Support the completion of FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and other quality-related processes.
  • Drive initiatives to improve product quality, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Quality, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Proven experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and techniques, such as root cause analysis, FMEA, and SPC.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to implement effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers.
