Job Description:
The Technical Engineer would be an extremely proactive individual who could contribute positively within the dynamic structure of the department. He/she will assist experienced Engineers to ensure the smooth running of the department be actively involved in the varied and interesting general duties within the Department.
The Technical Department consists of a team of Technical Engineers who are the face of the Company to our Customers, providing the vital link between the Customer and Manufacturing. Responsibilities include information analysis and interpretation to generate and service in-house requirements.
The Technical Engineers are normally customer specific, dealing with all enquiries, and ensuring timely resolution of Customer concerns. All new business enquiries are channelled through a tightly controlled system of feasibility, quotation, and sample submission before release to the shop floor. The Technical Engineers control all aspects of this process.
Objectives of this Role
Design, develop, implement, and test technical solutions based on business requirements
Identify potential issues and integrate possible solutions
Identify and assist in developing enhancement opportunities across the enterprise through innovation and automation
Enable faster and smarter business processes and implement analytics for meaningful results
Engage with management regularly, reporting on project status, activity, and achievements
Key Skills
Communication - verbal and written
Numerate - to be able to understand analytical information taken from specifications
Information technology - use of integrated packages, Excel, Word etc.
Build of engineering samples/prototypes etc. - manual dexterity and attention to detail required
Research - to obtain technical information via different channels
