Technical Planner

Candour Talent is proud to be exclusively representing a leading aerospace engineering business based in Blackwood. We are currently recruiting for a Technical Planner to join their dynamic Production Engineering team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically-minded individual with strong analytical skills and a background in engineering or manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will work directly under the Technical Services Manager and play a crucial role in the continued success of this world-class Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO).

Key Responsibilities

• Research and interpret Technical Publications, manuals, and engineering drawings

• Understand and apply manufacturers' specifications, overhaul manuals, process sheets, and work instructions

• Create and maintain master data (labour and material resources) in SAP

• Generate shop routers/planning documents to support workshop maintenance activity

• Support the business through a helpdesk system, ensuring timely and accurate responses

• Challenge incoming data requests to maintain standards and accuracy

• Liaise with multiple departments across the business to coordinate planning and documentation

• Support Continuous Improvement projects and departmental development initiatives

What We're Looking For

• A good level of education

• Experience in a technical role within an engineering or manufacturing environment

• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail

• Computer literate with ideally advanced knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel

• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently

• Organised, dependable, and able to meet strict deadlines

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
