Test Engineer (Gwent)

Candour Talent is proud to be representing an innovative electronics manufacturer in their search for a Test Engineer to join their growing team in South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled professional to support production testing, lead new product introductions (NPI), and drive improvements across a range of cutting-edge projects.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in electronics testing and a desire to progress their career in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain production test equipment used for functional testing

• Contribute to new product introduction (NPI) processes, ensuring seamless handover from development to production

• Generate and update detailed test instructions for various product lines

• Train and support Test Technicians, ensuring best practices are upheld

• Manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and implement relevant updates to test processes and equipment

• Troubleshoot electronic hardware and resolve test-related issues

• Operate and manage electronic test systems (hardware and software) to ensure product quality

What We're Looking For

• Strong understanding of electronics and hands-on experience in hardware testing

• Proven experience with testing of PCB and High-Level Assemblies (HLA)

• Familiarity with electronic test equipment and systems

• Knowledge of LabVIEW and TestStand (highly desirable)

• Minimum HNC in Electronic and Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience (5+ years in electronics test engineering)

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to generate technical documentation

• Motivated to succeed and develop both technically and professionally
