Job description Candour Talent is currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our client's growing team. This role involves overseeing all warehousing operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of frozen, chilled, and ambient products. You will be responsible for achieving productivity targets, implementing process improvements, and ensuring seamless coordination between warehousing, production, and distribution.
Main Responsibilities
Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and accurate stock control and timely completion of paperwork.
Manage warehouse staff, setting clear goals and objectives, and ensure all employees are fully trained in health & safety, food safety, and quality standards.
Implement strategies to streamline processes, improve performance, and reduce operational costs.
Maintain high standards of health and safety, food hygiene, and GMP compliance within the workplace.
Ensure service levels are continually met, maintaining effective communication with customers and suppliers.
Collaborate with the Planning Team to manage peak periods and develop appropriate plans.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement to enhance operations and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience
Strong knowledge of health & safety and safe working practices in a warehouse environment.
Significant management experience within a multi-temperature food warehouse setting.
Proven ability to meet strict dispatch deadlines and manage customer compliance.
Experience working with major UK retailers, both domestically and internationally.
IT literate with hands-on experience in computerised stock management systems (ERP/MRP).
