Job Title: Bench Technician

Salary: £12.04 an hour

Candour Talent Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Bench Technician to join our well-established client based in the Brynmawr area.

Job Description:

Test, repair and install active products, beds and hoists

Main Activities/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for testing all active products, beds and hoists in accordance with company procedures
• Responsible for repairing active systems, beds and hoists in accordance with procedures
• Contribute to modification improvements to active systems, beds and hoists
• Unload equipment and products from company vehicles
• Reassemble equipment and products
• Logistical awareness
• Accurate form/documentation filling
• Maintain ISO-9000 quality procedures
• Any other duties in line with the demands of the business
• Maintain discipline within the department
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ensure Health and Safety Regulations are observed within the department - manual handling, basic first aid, risk assessment
• Report any damaged equipment to relevant personnel
• Participate in continual training and development across the product range

Education and Experience:

• Experience in Stock Control procedures
• A good communicator with the ability to work under pressure
• ISO & Environmental training
• Health & Safety - Manual Handling - Risk Assessment - Basic first aid
• Training on Infection Control

Education and Experience:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• High standards in personal appearance and hygiene.
• Experience in a similar role is desirable.
• Willingness to engage in training and personal development.
• Ability to perform daily manual handling of heavy and awkward items, including mattresses weighing over 20kg. Some contracts may require handling at least 15 mattresses per day, involving a minimum of 30 lifts.
• Capability to handle heavily soiled products returned for cleaning, including exposure to bodily fluids.
