Candour Talent Recruitment is currently recruiting for a CNC Machinist to join our well-established client in Rhondda, Mid-Glamorgan. The CNC Machinist will efficiently set and operate CNC machines, ensuring maximum productivity while maintaining the highest standards of quality. This role demands proactive involvement in machine setups, adjustments, and programming to optimize production and support team members in delivering top-quality outputs.

Main Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to ensure efficient production while adhering to quality standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of produced parts, adjusting setups or programming as needed to maintain precision and performance.
• Assist operators with machine setups, ensuring configurations are optimized for maximum efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with team leaders and supervisors, reporting any deviations from specifications or production issues.
• Support the professional development of apprentices by providing guidance and training in CNC operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company health and safety policies, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Respond to directives from production supervisors and managers to ensure workflow efficiency and adherence to production schedules.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary vocational training in CNC machining or mechanical engineering preferred.
• Proven experience in setting up and operating CNC machines, including mills and lathes.
• Ability to program CNC machines using G-code or CAM software.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Skilled in using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers for quality control inspections.
• Knowledge of basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of safety practices and regulations in a manufacturing environment.
