Job description
Candour Talent have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Mediator to join our Client based in the Tredegar area.
The successful applicant will cover the Area from Cardiff to West Wales
The Ideal candidate will have police experience
Job Summary
- Assist with the day to day running of the customer support and collections department
- Make contact with customers who have missed payments or fallen into arrears
- Tracing and making investigation into customers who have moved address
- Arrange mutually agreeable payment plans in accordance with FCA Rules and guidance
- Make suitable notes of any contact with customers on Vienna.
- Arranging the return of vehicles via termination or repossession.
- Assisting the Chief customer support/collections officer, when necessary, with any ongoing complaints
- Attending court to represent company when required.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience
- Experience in working in arrears handling for a regulated business is desirable
- Competent phone skills and arrears techniques
- Awareness of the rules and regulations around Hire purchase and the requirements with FCA and FOS
- Good IT skills using Microsoft packages and internal systems
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to construct clear and concise notes on a customer's file
- Good listening skills and ability to be empathetic to a situation
- Team player

FCA Conduct Requirements
As an employee of a Financial Services firm regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), you are required to comply with the FCA Conduct Rules as set out in COCON 2, summarised below. Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift, early mornings and evenings required on occasion
