Sales Manager (Heavy Equipment / Rental Market)

Location: South Wales / South West England -based
Salary: £45,000 per annum + Company Car/Van

Candour Talent Recruitment is excited to be working with a leading equipment hire company in their search for a dynamic Sales Manager. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional to drive business development and manage sales activities for hire equipment across a wide territory.

The Role

The Sales Manager will focus on growing the company's customer base and revenue through a combination of managing incoming leads and proactively generating new business. You will work closely with clients, attending meetings and site visits, to identify opportunities and deliver tailored hire solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and convert incoming sales leads into successful hires.
Proactively generate new business leads through research, networking, and direct outreach.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients across South Wales, South West England, and potentially on a national level.
Conduct site visits and meetings to assess client requirements and provide tailored solutions.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed targets.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company and its services.

Key Skills & Experience

Proven experience in sales, preferably within equipment hire (such as heavy plant, construction equipment, mining equipment, heavy lift cranes, powered access or a related industry).
Strong business development skills with a proactive approach to lead generation.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a wide territory.
Full UK driving license (essential).
