Senior Buyer - Monmouthshire

Job description
Candour Talent Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Senior Buyer to join our well-established client in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a global leader in the design and engineering of aluminium systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the end-to-end management of suppliers and contributing to the strategic sourcing and product development process.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead the sourcing strategy, supplier onboarding, performance management, and purchasing negotiations.
• Focus on sustainability, portfolio risk management, and cost optimization for supplier relationships.
• Take a key role in the design, implementation, and delivery of New Product Development (NPD) projects.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, collaborating effectively to achieve business goals.
• Conduct data analysis and use findings to support and enhance decision-making for the management team.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Apply knowledge of supply chain principles and methodologies to drive continuous improvement in purchasing processes.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in end-to-end supplier management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record in leading New Product Development activities.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Experience with SAP MRP systems is a bonus.
• CIPS qualification or equivalent knowledge of supply chain methodologies.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (a few nights away each quarter), with a valid UK driving license or ability to travel independently.

• £43,000 - £48,000 per annum
