Afternoon shift - 3pm - 10pm

Salary: £11.86 an hour

Candour Talent Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Quality Controller to join our well-established client based in the Merthyr Tydfil area.

This role presents a unique chance to become a part of a dedicated team within a well-established Production company.

Job Description:

To ensure production standards are met and maintained for products before they leave site. Perform inspections on random samples in production, identify defects in the manufacturing process, record and report them.

Responsibilites:

• Monitoring the manufacturing and production processes
• Understanding quality standards and specifications
• Inspecting products
• Ensuring products align with company an legal standards
• Training and assisting new staff on these roles
• Multifunctional role across all departments
• Observing and following company safety regulations
• Carry out weight, metal, organoleptic and product quality checks using quality attribute and HACCP procedures
• Ensure all check- weighers and metal detection are working correctly, diagnose problems and report to key op quality department and manager
• Collect daily reference samples
• Key op will be responsible for labelling machine and software, quality responsible for check information against specification sheet
• Liaise with key op and managers with quality issues arising during production when completing routine test
• Communicate with auditors and visitors if required
• Part of the quality role is to help to re-leave for break, packing, sepal, stamping boxes, labelling and general cleaning
• Quality must be competent in shop floor role
• Carry out cleaning tasks directed by the key-operator
• Follow 'clean -as-you-go' principles to ensure the surrounding area is clean and tidy at all times
• Attend and be receptive to any training required for this role
