Working Hours: 6am-4.15PM

Salary: £12-1 5 an hour based on experience

Job Description:


We are seeking a skilled Upholstery Frame Worker to join our dynamic team. The role involves constructing high-quality wooden furniture frames tailored to bespoke orders, requiring precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have strong carpentry skills and hands-on experience with woodworking tools and machinery.

Responsibilities:

  • Build wooden frames for bespoke upholstery furniture according to detailed design specifications and customer requirements.
  • Operate and maintain woodworking machinery, including milling machines, cross-cut saws, rip saws, and band saws, ensuring accuracy and safety.
  • Use frame guns and other tools to assemble and secure frame components with precision.
  • Inspect materials for quality and ensure proper cutting, shaping, and joining to meet bespoke production standards.
  • Interpret and follow detailed technical drawings and instructions to create frames that meet unique customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with designers and production teams to ensure all bespoke frames are built to exacting standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with tools, materials, or production processes during frame construction.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in carpentry or a similar woodworking role, preferably within the bespoke furniture industry.
  • Proficiency in operating woodworking machinery such as milling machines, rip saws, and band saws.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow bespoke design specifications accurately.
  • Knowledge of wood types and their applications in custom furniture manufacturing.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in constructing upholstery frames for bespoke furniture.
  • Familiarity with modern woodworking techniques and tools.
  • Certification in health and safety or woodworking machinery operation (preferred).
